Your Cake size is determined not only by its design, but by how you intend on serving it.

Here is a guide to how far your cake will go:

Cake Style - Round Finger Slices - Square Finger Slices

Single tier 10" (26cm) 100 serves

Two Tiers 10" (26cm) & 6" (15cm) 120 serves

Three Tiers 11" (28cm), 8" (20cm) & 5" (13cm) 180 serves

Four Tiers 11" (28cm), 9" (23cm), 7" (18cm) & 5" (13cm) 260 serves

If you are wishing to serve your cake as dessert the number of serves will decrease by around 60%.

Also if you are wishing to give slightly larger than finger width slices, the amount of portions per cake will decrease.

The above sizes are purely for use as a guide. Please check what size cakes you have been quoted.
